Daniel Juarez (Buenos Aires 1967) addresses popular imagery through a meticulous collage work. His work delves into these fetish images with warmth and intimacy, restoring that closeness, the presence of his aura in our daily lives.
He studied at the Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage, Rio de Janeiro. He attended the workshops of: Orlando Molica (Brazil), Fabiana Barreda, Hernán Marina, Silvia Gurfein and Valeria Maculán. Selected in the National Visual Arts Salon 2019, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 and 2008, Rosario Salon 2017, Tucumán Salon 2019, 2018 and 2016, Itaú 2020 Prize, UADE 2019 Contest, Prize Appetite 2009, Salón Pampeano 2007 and Premio Platt 2007. He made, among others, the following individual exhibitions: On the construction of taste (Bisagra, 2012); Small fetish altar for a young collector (Bisagra, 2010); Pajero (Bisagra, 2009); Flirting (1/1 Art Box, 2007); The guardian of time (Museo Banco Provincia, 2019) y Although I’ll never see you again (Wunsch, 2018)
